WHAT IS MICROCEMENT?
Mikrocem Microcement is a high-end decorative coating for floors, walls, or ceilings in interior and exterior areas.
- It has a maximum thickness of 2 mm once finished.
- It does not require or have joints.
- It has a more and less marbled appearance.
- Its application does not generate debris.
- It can be applied over tile or ceramic flooring without the need to remove them.
- Available in more than 1,000 colors.
- Finishes in matte, semi-matte, gloss, and high gloss.
- Various textures.
- 100% waterproof.
- Ready-to-Use, easy to apply.
- Elegant and durable.
DOES MIKROCEM ISSUE INVOICES?
Of course.
MIKROCEM (Microcemento para Recubrimientos S. de R.L. de C.V.) issues invoices for all of its sales.
HOW MUCH DOES A “BUCKET” OF MICROCEMENT COST?
MIKROCEM sells microcement by m2.
Each m2 of microcement includes buckets and jugs of the different required materials.
If you would like a quote, all you need to do is contact us.
WHAT IS THE COVERAGE OF A “BUCKET” OF MICROCEMENT?
That is not a question that can be answered with a single number.
Mikrocem sells microcement by square meters.
Each m2 consists of several components (Fiberglass Mesh, Primer, Base Microcement, Finish Microcement, etc.).
Each of these components has a different coverage rate.
When a client wishes to purchase microcement, they indicate the number of square meters they want to cover, and we send them a complete, detailed quote.
The quote includes all the necessary components to cover the specified square meters.
DOES THE PRICE OF MICROCEMENT INCLUDE SHIPPING COSTS?
We only include shipping costs when requested by the client.
The client may pick up the material directly at our factory in Querétaro, arrange shipping through a carrier of their choice, or request that shipping BE included in their quote.
Mikrocem does not profit from product shipping.
DO PRICES INCLUDE APPLICATION?
We will never provide application pricing.
The Mikrocem factory is exclusively dedicated to the manufacturing, training, marketing, and sale of microcement.
Our quotes include only the requested quantity of material.
They do not include application.
WHO APPLIES THE MICROCEMENT?
As a manufacturer, Mikrocem only produces and commercializes microcement.
Regarding the application of microcement, we offer two alternatives:
OPTION ONE: CLIENT TRAINING FOR APPLICATION
This is usually the most cost-effective option for the client. With a minimum purchase of 20 m², our clients may request a Training Workshop and learn how to apply it with confidence. The workshops are free of charge, last 2 hours, and the company provides everything required for the training.
We also make our application videos available to you.
OPTION TWO: MICROCEMENT APPLICATION BY THIRD PARTIES
Mikrocem may put you in contact with some of our client-applicators for whom we have good references and who are known to have experience. They quote their work independently, are completely separate from the company, and are NOT part of our team. MIKROCEM is not responsible for the results obtained.
The client always has direct support from the factory, via phone, WhatsApp or email.
IS IT DIFFICULT TO APPLY?
Applying Mikrocem microcement is very easy.
The only requirement is to follow exactly the instructions learned in our Training Workshops
Anyone with skill in handling a trowel can successfully apply Mikrocem microcement. You simply need to follow the instructions step by step.

WHERE IS IT NOT RECOMMENDED?
MIKROCEM does NOT recommend its use in factories or workshops where forklifts operate or pallets are dragged.
It is also NOT recommended for parking areas, as tire skidding and the high temperatures reached by tires during long drives may damage the final polyurethane varnish layers.
Microcement is NOT recommended in areas where snow or ice accumulates. Extreme temperature changes create significant expansion and contraction, which could cause cracking.
We currently do NOT recommend its application in swimming pools, reflecting pools, or areas where the microcement is subjected to continuous immersion.
HOW IS IT CLEANED?
It can be cleaned with any common household cleaning product.
Mild, soapy cleaners that are not overly aggressive are recommended, although diluted bleach at 5% with water may also be used
Acids or solvents should not be used for cleaning, as they may damage the final polyurethane varnish layers.
WHAT CARE IS REQUIRED?
Microcement is a decorative coating. As such, it requires some basic care, such as:
- Do not drag furniture or heavy objects.
- Do not spill boiling oil or similar substances.
- Do not treat it with sharp utensils such as knives or similar tools.
- Do not use chairs or tables with pointed legs.
- Do not spill acids or solvents.
- You may apply a coat of wax regularly to help with its maintenance.
With minimal care, Mikrocem microcement can last for many years while maintaining its original beauty.
¿CÓMO ELIJO EL COLOR?
Para la elección del color hay varios sistemas que puede utilizar.
- En la sección «Colores Mikrocem» puede visualizar los colores de fábrica de entrega casi inmediata.
- Puede adquirir nuestro «Abanico de Colores Mikrocem» e indicarnos el código del color deseado.
- Puede enviarnos una muestra física (en madera, concreto, etc.) del color deseado.
- Puede concertar una cita para visualizar físicamente algunas de las muestras en nuestro ShowRoom en Querétaro.
- Puede acercarse a alguna tienda de pinturas conocida (Comex, Sayer, Berel, etc.), elegir un color e indicarnos el código del mismo (no olvide indicarnos la marca de la pintura). Nosotros lo igualaremos.
EN BLANCO
Puede aplicarse en pisos, muros, techos, muebles, encimeras de cocina, etc.
CAN I SEND YOU A PHOTOGRAPH SO YOU CAN MATCH THE COLOR?
Photographs are not reliable for this purpose and are therefore not accepted.
Colors can appear completely different depending on the settings of the device on which they are viewed (laptop, mobile phone, tablet).
For this reason, Mikrocem does not accept color matching based on photographs.

HOW SHOULD THE SURFACE BE PREPARED WHERE I WANT TO APPLY MICROCEMENT?
The surface must be:
- Clean
- Dry
- Solid
- Smooth
- Free from loose or crumbling material
- Free from rising damp (capillary moisture)
Mikrocem microcement has a maximum thickness of 3 mm. If the surface is smooth and solid, the final finish will be much more attractive, coverage rates will be accurate, and the microcement will achieve its full properties.
PREPARE THE SURFACE, IF NECESSARY, BEFORE APPLYING MICROCEMENT.
DO I NEED TO REMOVE EXISTING TILE OR FLOOR TILE BEFORE APPLYING MICROCEMENT?
It is NOT necessary.
You only need to make sure there are no loose pieces. It is important to fill the joints so that, when you run your hand over the surface, it feels smooth and solid.
You can then apply the microcement directly over the existing floor or wall.
CAN IT BE APPLIED IN BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS?
Absolutely.
You simply need to ensure that the entire surface is properly varnished, including the joints between the microcement and other materials. This ensures that water does not penetrate the microcement.
For this type of surface, ALWAYS CHOOSE our AQUA READY-TO-USE range.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR EXTERIOR USE? DOES MOISTURE AFFECT IT?
Absolutely. You just need to keep one important consideration in mind.
Mikrocem microcement is completely waterproof against EXTERNAL MOISTURE.
You must ensure that the entire surface and the joints between the microcement and other materials are properly sealed with one of our Polyurethane Varnishes, in order to prevent water penetration.
If the surface, whether exterior or interior, presents CAPILLARY MOISTURE (moisture coming from within the substrate), this issue must be resolved first.
If this step is skipped, internal moisture may damage the microcement (and anything else applied over it).
Please inform our Sales team of any internal moisture issues BEFORE making your purchase.
I HAVE MOISTURE PROBLEMS IN MY BATHROOM OR SOME PART OF MY HOME—CAN I APPLY MICROCEMENT?
You cannot apply microcement over a surface that is releasing moisture “from within” (capillary moisture).
Mikrocem microcement is completely waterproof against MOISTURE COMING FROM THE EXTERIOR.
A product that stops internal water penetration must be applied first; this will fully protect the microcement.
If this step is skipped, internal moisture may damage the microcement (and anything else applied over it).
Please inform our Sales team of any internal moisture issues BEFORE making your purchase.
CAN IT BE APPLIED IN SWIMMING POOLS?
At the moment, we do NOT recommend it.
We are working on it so that we can recommend it in the future, offer a 100% guarantee, and ensure there are no issues down the line.
DOES IT WORK AS A WATERPROOFING SYSTEM?
Although it was not designed for that purpose, correctly applied AQUA READY-TO-USE Mikrocem microcement is an excellent waterproofing solution.
WHAT WARRANTIES DOES MIKROCEM OFFER?
MIKROCEM guarantees that, for at least 5 years:
- Mikrocem microcements will not detach from the surface where they are applied.
- Mikrocem microcements will not crack or develop microcracks..
- Mikrocem microcements will not show apparent color changes, even when exposed to sunlight.
MIKROCEM offers the above guarantees provided that the application has been carried out by authorized Mikrocem Distributors.
We have already identified fraudulent attempts by individuals and companies falsely claiming to be “Authorized MIKROCEM Distributors.”.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by structural movement or settlement of the building or residence resulting in cracks, detachment, chipping, or failure of the substrates where Mikrocem microcement was applied.
- Damage caused by capillary moisture (moisture coming from within).
- Damage caused by flooding, earthquakes, dragging of heavy objects, or impacts that we know in advance are not supported by microcement.
- Damage caused by acids or solvents.
MIKROCEM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CONDUCT THE NECESSARY INVESTIGATIONS PRIOR TO APPLYING THE WARRANTY
